Charger, Chevy SS, CTS. That’s a damn good spread of cheap four-door ‘Murican V8 power.
Could do without the dumb indentation in the door (yeah, I know. “heritage” or whatever) but that’s the only thing I can find wrong with this design. Hnnnng.

The front bothers me so much, but I’m not sure why.

is there anything from the ford group?

$45k is cheap?

Only the Hellcat front bumper looks good to me.

Wouldn’t exactly call the SS or CTS cheap. The charger is the only one you can get for under 40k with a V8 and even that’s a stretch once you start ticking boxes

pfft. none of them are even grounded to the ground. none of them have vtec kicking in...ever.
I’ll pass on domestic muscle that will spend all its life on a lift

Closest thing would be the Taurus SHO but that’s a twin turbo V6

I’m too cheap to consider $40k~ (new) cheap. I think the R/T Charger starts around $37/38. The rest are all well north of $40k.
![]() 06/02/2016 at 12:21 |

Base charger R/T with no options is 34k
![]() 06/02/2016 at 12:23 |

The R/T starts at $34k and scat pack is $40k just FYI. So there is one trim/V8 easily under 40k.
And really $40k for 485hp is still great no matter how big it is.

For what you get? Absolutely.

They make an accord coupe and an underpowered twin turbo V6 behemoth. So, no. No muscle car sedans from FoMoCo, sadly. Give us a Coyote Fusion, dammit!

I like that indent, looks a lot better than big, flat side like the Challenger’s IMO.

Yeah but with 2 or 3 optons like leather or even a sunroof that base charger rt is at 40k. And I’m not saying it isn’t a deal cause it is. But calling them cheap isn’t the right word. That’s more what I was getting at.

Not the fusion. The Taurus would be nice with the V8 if you wanted to keep it in the same class as the charger and SS

That means it’s a bargin. Not cheap

Actually, if you want to be really technical there's the Falcon, though it's Australia only.

hmmmm... well gm brought the ss up, what’s ford sittin around for?

Shame in Europe we don’t get any of these cars, apart from the SS (though we get the Vauxhall VXR8 which is similar, but based off an older Holden).

The SS didn’t sell very well, so I guess Ford is playing it safe.
I wish they did bring it over though. Bonus points for bringing the ute.

I can’t think of anything that could go in place of that indentation. It wouldn’t be a complete design without it.

Eh, the Challenger looks perfectly fine with slab sides.

If you just smoothed them out it would look like a jelly bean.
And how would you break up the hood line from the trunk line?

Its a nice drive! and competitive power with a tune

I was thinking of the R/T Road and Track (isn’t that redundant?) The Scat Pack is a solid deal at $40k. That isn’t cheap, but I don’t find it out of line, pricewise.
![]() 06/02/2016 at 13:25 |

Yeah I thought it was a little goofy that they have an Road/Track Road and Track trim

And since ford Australia is shutting down soon that’ll be no more which is a shame
